Welcome to the Deadline Guard user guide. This guide covers everything you need to know to get the most out of the app — from creating your first deadline to staying on top of overdue items.
What is Deadline Guard?
Deadline Guard is a calm, privacy-focused app for tracking deadlines that matter — subscription renewals, contract cancellations, warranties, insurance renewals, tax filings, and more.
Unlike a calendar, Deadline Guard is designed specifically for deadlines. It keeps a clear, distraction-free view of what’s coming up and what needs your attention, without mixing appointments and events into the picture.
You can add deadlines manually, or share a link or item from another app straight into Deadline Guard to create a deadline on the spot.
Everything stays on your device. No account is required. No data is uploaded or shared.

Getting Started
Install the app, understand the three-tab layout, and create your very first deadline, either from inside the app or directly from a shared item or link. Start here if you are new to Deadline Guard.
Managing Deadlines
Learn how to add, edit, reschedule, confirm, and delete deadlines. Understand the difference between Upcoming and Overdue, and how the confirmation system works.
Reminders & Notifications
Set up one or more reminders per deadline, choose between relative (e.g. “3 days before”) and absolute (specific date and time) reminders, and understand how escalating notifications keep overdue items visible.

Archive & Delete

Add your streaming service, gym membership, or software license with a reminder 2 weeks before the renewal date. Never get charged for something you wanted to cancel.
Shared links from other apps
See a subscription page, invoice, or renewal notice in your browser or mail app? Share it to Deadline Guard and turn it into a deadline immediately, with the source link attached for later reference.
Contract cancellation periods
Many contracts have a notice period before automatic renewal. Add the cancellation deadline — not the renewal date — and set a reminder 30 days in advance.
Warranties & guarantees
Track when your appliance warranty expires. Set a reminder a month early so you can report any issues before coverage ends.
