Unlimited Deadlines

The free tier allows up to 10 upcoming (unconfirmed) deadlines. Overdue and archived deadlines do not count toward this limit.

If you reach the limit, a banner in the app lets you know. You can still view, confirm, and delete existing deadlines — you just can’t add new ones until you upgrade or confirm/delete existing ones.

With PRO, there is no limit. Add as many deadlines as you need.

Reminders

Reminders are a PRO feature. Upgrading unlocks the full reminder editor where you can add one or more reminders per deadline. This is useful for high-stakes deadlines where you want:

  • An early warning well in advance
  • A follow-up reminder as the deadline approaches
  • A final nudge the day before

Backup & Restore

All users can export a backup of their data and restore it later. The backup includes:

  • All deadlines (upcoming, overdue, and archived)
  • Reminders and settings
  • Descriptions and tags

Creating a backup

  1. Go to Menu → Settings (or Menu → Backup & Restore)
  2. Tap Create backup
  3. Choose where to save the file — your device storage, Google Drive (Android), iCloud (iOS), or another location

Restoring a backup

  1. Go to Menu → Backup & Restore
  2. Tap Restore backup
  3. Select the backup file

Warning: Restoring a backup replaces all your current data with the backup contents. This cannot be undone. Make a fresh backup before restoring if you want to keep your current data.

When is backup useful?

  • Before switching to a new phone
  • Before a major app update
  • As a regular precaution if you have many important deadlines

Unlocking PRO

Tap Unlock PRO in the app (shown in the deadline list when you approach the free limit, or via Menu → Settings → PRO Status & Unlock).

The purchase is processed through the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS). Deadline Guard does not handle payment details directly.

Restore a previous purchase

If you’ve already purchased PRO and switched devices or reinstalled the app, go to Menu → Settings → PRO Status & Unlock and tap Restore to relink your purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it a subscription? No. PRO is a one-time purchase. There are no recurring charges.

Does PRO sync across devices? App Store purchases sync automatically via your Apple ID. For Google Play, purchases are linked to your Google account. For unlock codes, you enter the code manually on each device.

What happens to my data if I uninstall the app? Your data is stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app removes the data. Use Backup & Restore to save your data before uninstalling.

Can I try the app before buying? Yes. The free tier lets you track up to 10 upcoming deadlines. Reminders require PRO. Try it out before deciding to upgrade.
